Over 50 years ago, M. Thaha grew up in Sri Lanka’s lush upcountry, surrounded by tea fields that sparked his passion for the craft. What began as a hobby soon became a vision—leading him to establish his own tea manufacturing business to ensure only the finest quality reached his customers.

His son, MTM Ameen, carried this passion forward, expanding the family legacy by successfully managing multiple tea estates and factories. The next generation, MA Aasif Ahamed, took it even further by founding Lakdiva Tea Centre, bringing the finest Ceylon tea to the world.

Today, with three generations of expertise, we oversee the entire journey of tea—from hand-plucking and manufacturing to value addition, packaging, and global distribution. Now proudly serving Australia, we bring you the freshest, highest-quality Ceylon tea, straight from our estates to your cup.
